Ms. Susan Estes is the founder, president and chief executive office of OpenDoor, with exceptional depth and understanding of the fixed income markets. After 30 years trading U.S. Treasuries, related fixed income products, managing domestic and international high-quality rates operations and related businesses for large financial institutions, she created the concept behind OpenDoor’s market-based solution. Her knowledge of the global fixed income markets and evolving fintech landscape helped her build a cohesive team of industry professionals to successfully launch OpenDoor in April 2017.
Susan has served on the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee (TBAC), under both Secretary’s Paulson and Snow. Separately, working with the Committee to address topical market issues with the Chair and Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, under both Chairman Greenspan and Chairman Bernanke. Susan also served as a Member of the Board of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA and as Chair the Government and Agency Division of the Bond Market Association (now SIFMA).
